    Mathematical model for Transportation Problem in Waste Management

    Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá sestavením matematického modelu dopravní úlohy pro oblast odpadového hospodářství, který slouží k analýze současného problému ČR nakládání se směsným komunálním odpadem. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty základní matematické poznatky z teorie grafů a optimalizace, které v práci využíváme. Zaměřeno je především na lineární programování. V druhé části se práce zabývá vlastním modelem, který je poté implementován do programu GAMS. Dále je ukázáno zpracování výsledků včetně grafické vizualizace v programu ArcGIS.This bachelor's thesis deals with the development of the mathematical model of transportation problem in waste management, which is used for analysis of current issue of mixed municipal waste treatment in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of thesis aims to introduce basic terms of graph theory and optimization with the focus on linear programming. The second part aims to development of the model and its implementation to GAMS. And next, the post-processing of results is shown, vizualization in ArcGIS included.

    Diplomová práce se zabývá optimalizací svozu odpadu pro středně velká města. Model úlohy zohledňuje požadavky vzešlé z praxe. K jejímu řešení byl navržen původní memetický algoritmus, který byl implementován v jazyce C++.This thesis deals with an optimization of waste collection in a mid-sized town. The model is formulated based on requirements from a real process. To deal with this problem, the original memetic algorithm was developed and implemented in C++.

    Diplomová práce se zabývá popisem a vlastnostmi datové komunikace po silových vedeních, účelem a jejími výhodami a nevýhodami. Dále jsou zde popsány modulace a kanálové kódování, které jsou v PLC používány. Stěžejní část práce se zabývá návrhem modelu kanálu jako přenosové funkce pomocí dvou metod, kterými jsou echo model kanálu a výpočet ABCD kaskádních parametrů vedení.Po dokončení návrhu přenosové funkce byl sestaven model komunikace v Matlab-Simulink. V modelu byly použity úzkopásmové modulace a byla zkoumána chybovost přenášených dat. Nakonec byly všechny výsledky zpracovány graficky a vyhodnoceny.The master´s thesis is focussed on principles and characteristics of Powerline Communications (PLC), practical usage possibilities and advantages and disadvantage of it. There are described mudulations and a channel encoding which are in PLC used. The main part of the thesis deals with a design of a channel as transfer function through the use of two methods, an echo model and the ABCD matrix. After finishing of the design of transfer function the model of communication was created in the Matlab-Simulink program. There were used the narrowband modulations in the model and analyzed the bit error rate of the tranfer data. In the end all results were treated graphically and evaluated.

    Nanocrystallization of Metallic Glasses Followed by in situ Nuclear Forward Scattering of Synchrotron Radiation

    A central problem in nanotechnology is the understanding of structure-to-properties relationship. This is essential for tailoring the functionalities, efficiency, and performance of the near-future materials. Here, hyperfine interactions can be employed as they instantly reflect the state of structural arrangement. Examination of the corresponding hyperfine parameters during nanocrystallization through the use of the so-called nuclear forward scattering (NFS) of synchrotron radiation is now possible. One can follow separately structural evolution of different sites of the 57Fe probe atoms. Structural transformations in metallic glasses including nanocrystallization were investigated by NFS to fine details that are completely hidden when conventional analytical tools are employed. Systematic analyses of NFS time-domain patterns provided an opportunity to study independently the role of structurally different regions. The latter comprise amorphous residual matrix, newly formed nanocrystallites, and interface regions. Different amounts of iron atoms located at the nanograins’ surfaces and in their core were observed for different crystallization conditions, viz. temperature, time, and/or magnetic field. The application of in situ NFS experiments has a huge potential for observations of the evolution of phase transformations in real time performed on fly during short time intervals

    Smart displays: Personalisation of information panels

    Information panels are a common part of university or administrative buildings. We can see large panels with news or social media feeds as well as small displays on conference rooms with information about their occupancy. All these panels usually present general information without any relation to a present audience. Presentation of personalised information for a particular user can be very helpful; however, for such personalisation we must take into account many aspects: identification of users in the display vicinity, sharing of the screen among multiple users etc. This paper is focused on the architecture of such system that allows presenting customised information on information panels for users within university buildings. Our solution allows detection of a user via Bluetooth beacons. The selected close display then presents information related to the user. In case there are multiple users in the display vicinity, the system evaluates their requirements and decides how to share the display.O

    Neutrophils in chronic lymphocytic leukemia are permanently activated and have functional defects

    A growing body of studies highlights involvement of neutrophils in cancer development and progression. Our aim was to assess the phenotypic and functional properties of circulating neutrophils from patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The percentage of CD54+ and CD64+ neutrophils as well as CD54 expression on these cells were higher in CLL patients than in age-matched healthy controls. Neutrophils from CLL produced more reactive oxygen species (ROS) compared to controls in both resting and activated conditions. Lipopolysaccharide-induced production of IL-1 beta and TNF-a as well as reduced TLR2 expression in neutrophils from CLL than in neutrophils from controls suggesting their tolerant state. Finally, phenotypic alterations of neutrophils, particularly elevation of CD64 and CD54 markers, correlated with disease activity and treatment, and low percentage of neutrophils. Taken together, the alterations in percentage and functional characteristics of neutrophils reflect the clinical course of CLL. Our data provide first evidence that neutrophils in CLL are permanently primed and have functional defects.Web of Science849849018488

    Import 11/07/2012Cílem mé diplomové práce je odhalení případných nedostatků a rizik pro finanční trh v podmínkách a pravidlech pro udělování licencí a povolení bankám. Metodou analýzy je dotazníkové šetření, kterého se zúčastnili zaměstnanci bank. Vyhodnocení stability finančního trhu je provedeno pomocí korelační analýzy. V teoretické části je nejprve nastíněna stručná historie vzniku centrálních bank a její základní funkce. Jednou z těchto funkcí je regulace finanční trhu, proto je předmětem další kapitoly jeho vymezení a jaké subjekty jsou v něm zahrnuty. Tyto subjekty jsou vymezeny po právní stránce, a jaký je jejich obvyklý předmět činnosti. V první praktické kapitole je rozvedeno vyhodnocení dotazníkového šetření. Otázky kladené zaměstnancům bank se týkají hodnocení činnosti ČNB, míry regulace finančního trhu, licenčních podmínek a komunikace s jejími zaměstnanci. Ve druhé praktické části je provedeno vyhodnocení stability bankovního sektoru pomocí korelační analýzy. Počet bank je korelován s jednotlivými ukazateli finanční stability.The goal of my diploma thesis is to detect any shortcomings and risks for the financial market in the conditions and rules for the licensing and authorisation of banks. Method of analysis is a public opinion survey, which took part in the staff of the bank. Evaluation of the stability of the financial market is performed by using correlation analysis. In the theoretical part is first outlined in a brief history of the creation of the central bank and its basic functionality. One of these features is the regulation of the financial market, therefore, is the subject of the next chapter of its definition and what entities are included in it. These entities are defined legally, and what is their usual business. In the first practical chapter elaborated evaluation questionnaires. The questions posed to employees of banks relating to the evaluation of the activities of the National Bank, rates of financial-market regulation, licensing, and communication with its employees. In the second practical part is carried out an evaluation of the stability of the banking sector by using correlation analysis.     Study of Cobaltites and Manganites by NMR and EXAFS

    This Thesis is devoted to a study of physical properties of manganites and cobaltites with perovskite structure. Combination of macroscopic (magnetization measurements and X-ray powder diraction) and microscopic (NMR and EXAFS) methods was applied in order to get a complex and detailed view on the charge and magnetic ordering of transition metals ions in the LaMn1xCoxO3 solid solutions. The Thesis presents new results which were published in international journals. The main result is the determination of details of Mn and Co local environments and the spin arrangement of their individual oxidation states in the ferrimagnetic structure of the compounds studied
